A Kaduna State High Court has sentenced Victor Solomon, known as "Zidane," to death by hanging on January 8, 2026, for murder related to a 2018 incident where he led self-defense efforts against alleged Fulani militant attacks on his Adara Christian community in southern Kaduna.
Solomon was arrested in 2018 under the administration of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. He faced identical charges in two state high courts: acquitted in one, but convicted in Kaduna.
